It's not, this isn't the Cherry Picker's list. I had this list on my website since 2007, and I update it each time I learn of a new variety.

You should add the '92 close-AM to your list. I think several of those have now been confirmed.

It's means Victor David Brenner, and is the designer of the Linoln Cent. In 1909 some cents had the V.D.B. on the reverse, bottom rim, but people thought it was too large and the mint removed the initials. In 1918 the initials vdb where included in the design again, but on the obverse, below the shoulder, and have been there every since.

I didn't see the "No" in the question, my mistake. Some 1973 Lincoln Cents don't have the v.d.b. initials like it's supposed to.

Notice the VDB initials on the truncation of Lincoln's bust. They have been there since 1918. The image is from Wikipedia.

"IN God WE TRUST" would be the obverse. what I am talking about is the 1982 Doubled Die Reverse. Charles Daughtrey has said it may be one of the biggest discoveries of the last 20 years. So far there are only 2 known, mine and a second one found about 3 months later.
Here's the page on coppercoins that shows it

http://www.coppercoins.com/lincoln/dies ... _state=mds

It was written about in the October 2007 coinworld and Numismatic News.

My mistake, and I can't believe I made it, I have several rolls of 1982 and have looked for this error in these rolls. Alas, I missed adding it to my list anyway.

What a beautiful DDR! No, it's not the same one, but I just listed this 83' DDR so people know to look for it, but didn't think I wanted to get into the variety numbers. Is that what you mean?

Thanks for the list Daniel. Sure helps us newbies as to what coins to look for when searching these coins.

Now here is a question for you, when you get a gripe of coin to search how do you go about searching them? I look at each one but the but the ones one the lists closer. Is there a right and wrong way to search coins if that makes any sense as a question?

I use a 10x jewelers loupe and start looking at the center of the coin and work my way outward. I guess I look in a counter clockwise and circular direction.
