Morgan $1 1893-S NGC Certified - Should I resubmit

#1 Unread post by dspence »

I am looking for some expert coin advice,
I have a Morgan 1893S (registered on my NGC page):
https://www.ngccoin.com/registry/coins/2225492/

Even though it was graded as fine details improperly cleaned, when you look at it, it really doesn't look very badly cleaned. I mean there is evidence of it, however it seems like it even might possible be able to be restored. Do you know how i might be able to get ahold of NGC to get it resubmitted or even restored. or would it even be worth it. looking for some advice, thank you everyone and God bless.

No one can tell you if your coin is worth a resubmission or restoration, you have to send it to NGC's NCS for restoration consideration. Some of us are very knowledgeable and experienced at this, but this coin must be seen in hand by NCS or a professional company in hand.

Thank you for your help Daniel. I have never sent a coin in before, do you have a recommended professional I can send it to or do I just send it in generically?

It depends Paul, I've a lot of experience with this. The coin looks off color so it might be considered, I've sent a few off color coins and they did restore them since they wasn't cleaned harshly.

It is the reason you have to submit to them. I can't help further with a coin they need to see in hand.
