Depends on the value of the error. Some are just not worth enough to cover the grading costs unless you have a lot of disposable income.

Thanks so much to all of you! Definitely a lot to think about. I love this coin, but I think I could love it even more if it was in its most vibrant state! I certainly don't want to mess with it though. Hmm. Thanks again for your insights! I know. All the different mints have their own lustre and f...

Sorry, not to be blunt but your coin is only worth 25 cents.... If you need a microscope then it wouldn't be desirable as an error if that's what it was. Not the case here though.

Hello and Welcome!
In my opinion, no. I would just put it in 2x2 holder and enjoy it. Value is far less than the grading fees.

Hello, I am a coinage novice. I am hoping to get some insight pertaining to the 2011 D Jefferson Nickel. I am aware that "Lamination Errors" are common with the 2004-2005 "Jefferson War Nickels" however, is it a rare find for lamination peels to be found within the "Return ...

Yeah. I really don't see anything rare or out of the ordinary here. Toss it in Acetone? I would toss it in the tip jar.kurtspringmann wrote: ↑Fri Apr 12, 2024 2:29 pm Was it in a PVC flip in the heat at some point? Not a recommendation for you, but I would toss it in 100% acetone and see if it disappears.
