You must keep in mind, that these itty bitty very minor doublings are difficult to attribute…& need to be verified firsthand.

Also remember that the VAM listings, are only a registry for die pairings :idea:

Oh is this a pre-strike delamination? It's a steel planchet with multi-ply plated brass on top. It'd have to have peeled before plating, right?

This coin is a late die state strike, it also has quite a few contact marks and minor inconsequential die chips… :ugeek:

While I understand the question looking at the pics, I think from the degree of wear I think ony guesses can be made. The markings that you are seeing on the outer rim, are called
"Contact Mark Damage",............... from the edge of a reeded coin.
