While I understand the question looking at the pics, I think from the degree of wear I think ony guesses can be made. What had me doubting the machine doubling is that the matt finish carries through on the "shelf" and on the sides of the font. Wouldnt the die scraping at those areas leave a smooth or streaky surface? Would a double struck coin exhibit what is going on here? Also, when i super impose the...
