I was hoping you would let this go on a longer. I ddin't want to guess until most on here has given it a try. Great post. One thing that's a dead give away is the mint mark. Often people engrave the area around an S shape, were the mint mark is supposed to be, or they will glue an S from another coi...

I don't know of a metal detector that doesn't signal gold, but some are much better at it than others. I have done a little research on this and I am going to buy a White's Coin Master Pro. It appears that most of top line companies can get the job done so it's up to what features you desire and the...

Why not buy a gold nugget if you can't go panning?
I guess buying a few nuggets is the closest I will get to finding a gold nugget, but then there's some pay dirt for sale as well. I bet the pay dirt is about as good as those so-called unsearched coin rolls. I might just stick to watching Gold Rush. widegrin

Re: Shell-casing pennies
Any Lincoln Cent dated 1909-1942 then 1944 through 1981 and some of the 1982 issues are 95% copper. I heard that a very small amount of the alloy used to make cent planchets after 1943 was the shell casings, and not enough to make a difference in the coins. Correct me if you find more accurate infor...

This app was created by a company that said they would do it but I must allow ads. The ads have literally made the app unusable because of all...
