A dryer coin is created when it is left in a dryer for a certain length of time; the action of the dryer drum slowly pushes the metal of the coin upward and toward the center. This creates higher and wider rims around the coin.

It also smashes and flattens the design of the coin so they look thicker and fatter.

There’s other mechanical means this can be achieved and all is post mint damage and doesn’t add any value to the coin.
