The Judd-721 through Judd-726 quarter patterns were produced from the same die pair. The six varieties of the current design were struck in silver, copper, and aluminum. Judd-723--the current offering--was considered an R.6 variety by Pollock and is listed as such on the USPatterns.com website. However, the ninth edition of United States Pattern Coins by Judd opines that Judd-723 is a Low R.7 variety. In actuality, this issue is on the border of High R.6 and Low R.7, based on an analysis of certified coin population data and auction records.
