International Nickel Company Quarter Patterns
1964 P25C International Nickel Company Quarter Dollar, Pollock-5365, R.6
An apparent second example of this INCO pattern quarter that appears to be struck in copper-nickel on a copper core. However, the insert has the enigmatic attribution of P-F721. Designed by Gilroy Roberts, the obverse has a likeness of Paul D. Merica in the center with his name above and LABORATORY below. The reverse shows a view of the INCO laboratory as photographed by Kenn Henderson around 1964. Immediately above is DEDICATED and below 1964. The peripheral legends read: INTERNATIONAL NICKEL COMPANY INC. Struck in copper-nickel over a copper core with a reeded edge.
