Early American And Related Tokens
Pitt Tokens
William Pitt, who loved America, is the subject of the medelets and were probably intended as a commemorative for his sake. The medals were all struck in brass and copper and in the denominations of farthing and halfpenny. Some halfpenny Pitt Tokens were "silvered", which is coating or adding a clad layer to the coin.
