Early American And Related Tokens
Hibernia-Voce Populi Coins
Roche, of King Street, Dublin is responsible for the minting of the Hibernia-Voce Populi Coins, and he was a maker of buttons for the army. There were Irish tokens, and some managed to make it to the American Colonies and used as coinage. There are counterfeit halfpences and "Bungtown" tokens. They were issued in "Long Bust" and "Short Bust" obverse and most of the Long Bust pieces bear a "P" on the obverse. It's possible that the "Short Bust" pieces where counterfeit pieces of the time.

The coins were minted in the denominations of farthing and halfpenny with varieties of each and all dated 1760.
