1922 NO D

#1 Unread post by earlsr »

I have a NGC certified(4151247-002) 1922 NO D WEAK reverse 1C coin grade VF 25 BN. The NGC certification value is listed as "not available". The PCGS certification price guide does not list WEAK REVERSEas an option. I have a 2020 NGC printout of this actual coin value of 500.00. Any ideas why the missing info. Thanks I hope I did this correctly.

The only thing i can offer is that PCGS and NGC are two different companies with two different sets of rules and two different lists of what they will recognize/put on a label when slabbing coins.

I think a call to NGC would be more fruitful, they even have a forum where you can ask, someone there would know more about this than here.

I really don't understand why everyone seems so afraid of contacting any of the grading companies. I will equate it to finding something online that you may need (no not coins). Do you just go to the store you found it listed under? Do you continue your search looking for the item at a lower price? It is almost like that. You can call NGC, PCGS, ANACS. Remember, like Earle has mentioned a thousand times, yes, they are a business and as such they need to make money to keep their business alive. In this endeavor it is wise for them to help you. After a few times of them assisting you feel comfortable sending in your submission yourself. All of this did exactly what they hoped it would, they now have a new customer bring in a new cash flow: in which helps to keep them in business.
