The pictures are a bit out of focus when zooming and trying to see the details. It could be a clash. Tery using the following method to take some in-focus pictures and post them so we can see the coin better:

This may not be a 1957 5 Pesetas, the real date is on the star on the reverse.

Took a closer look at the star on the reverse, this is a 1958 50 (Not 5) Pesetas from Spain.
Even though the Obverse says 1957, the real date is on the star on the Reverse. (As said before)

funny comments yes i misquoted the date, the issue at hand is what type of error is presented here. if it were a US coin it would be a mule die clash possibly so restart. what am i looking at here.

Re: 1957 5 Pesetas Spain Coin see other impression
It is exactly where the obverse lettering would be in "1957 Francisco". I don't believe it's an impression, but the obverse being seen from the reverse. And yes, it's a 58'. Infact, if you look at the obverse under 1957 Francisco, there is something going on with the dentals, like something causes excessive pressure, causing the phrase to "ghost" on the reverse.

So, that means it's an impression from another coin.

Re: 1957 5 Pesetas Spain Coin see other impression
Not a hit from a coin. It is from one coin being hammered onto this one or two coins being squished together:yes it is from another coin, Must've hit pretty hard though.

Try different lighting angles while spinning the coin, when you are viewing it.Dlcoinhunters wrote: ↑Sun Apr 10, 2022 12:18 pm i looked at this coin and it is not incused it is raised so how can it be a hammer strike impression.
