Car wash quarter - Alaskan "6th claw" bear

Sometimes I wonder how many variety coins have gone through my hands didn't know...

That's an angled contact mark from the edge of another coin but not an extra claw doubled die.

Is it indented or an extra blob of metal on top of the existing claw(s)?

No it's not an extra blob just and indented mark from contact.

Sometimes it is hard to tell depending on your eye and brain interpretation to determine whether or not it is a depression or a rise-blob if you will. lol For me especially. I blame too many years looking through stereoscopes and aerial photos, that is why I asked.
