Presidential coins

#1 Unread post by TimM » Wed Jan 02, 2019 1:54 pm

Hello,
I have some early US presidential $1 coins, in original wrappers which I purchased through local bank as they became available.
Some of the rolls have the President exposed; some Statue of Liberty at each end.
I would appreciate advice on how best to handle and then identify these wrapped coins for edge mis-markings
Thank you
Tim M.

You can't tell if they have no edge or doubled edge with them in the wrapper and you can't tell the President if the head isn't showing. You can sometimes sell these for more than face and ebay one of the few places to do that. I can buy them from other dealers for less than a $1.50 each so there's minimal value.
