1918 d Error Coin Education

#1 Unread post by TyMenna » Sat Nov 03, 2018 8:21 am

Hello Again,
I am really studying and trying to learn about types of errors and varieties. I am going through my collection looking for them now :) Anyhow, so what I once thought was a Lincoln Cent that got run over by a bus, I now think it is a messy error. So here is my question: Is this a die error or a striking error. Or a really foul planchet?
Thanks.

I'm with Paul.
Especially since you can see distortion and damage on the direct opposite side of the coin as well.
