1964 Nickel Doubling Reverse?

#1 Unread post by mylcoinintx »

I found this coin in my saved coin box. Not sure on how to describe what's going on since some of the places on this coin looks like damage. Anyway I took pictures of the bottom and sides of the capital building. I started from the right side bottom and went clockwise around the building. This is what I got. Let me know what's going on with this coin please. Thank you.

Please keep in mind, that you are way too close to the coin you are imaging..... Most individuals will not be able to decipher what the images are.

I hugeeyes what is referred to as "Die Cavity Fracture"........ or Die Wear

Sorry about that but my microscope camera doesn't allow me to lower it's magnification. I guess I'll have to get another one since I plan on posting more post. I'm almost done with my first box of penny's, only 5 more to go. Hopefully I'll find something interesting to post.

You're looking TOO close to the coins. You don't need a microscope and if you can only see it with a scope then it's not going to be anything good or worthy. All varieties and errors that are worth anything can be seen with very little to no magnification.
