1982 D Lincoln Penny - Small Date

Hello,

Trying to figure out if I might have found a 1982 D small date penny. I am attaching a picture which shows two 1982 D penny's. Small date (I think) is the one on the left. Any help would be appreciated. Thank You.

When posting photos of a coin you want someone to look at, you should post a photo of the full Obverse and Reverse. Try to take these photos as close to and as clear as possible. It would help if you could crop these photos. Next, take photos of the area in question again as clear as possible. If possible, it would be helpful if you could find a way to point to, or some other way to let them know where you are questing. As for photo editing programs, if you do not have one there are three free programs you can get. They are PhotoScape, Inkscape and Gimp. Of all of them PhotoScape is by far the easiest.

The left is a small date D on a copper plated zinc planchet and the large date is on the right and it's on copper, both coins are normal. It's the 1982 D Small date on copper that is rare.
