To send or not to send 1956 Nickel

#1 Unread post by Imispellalot »

Hey everyone.

I used to collect coins in early 90's then completely lost interest. I was around 13-15 years old. Now in my late 30's I picked it up again. I been Coin Roll Hunting for the last 3-4 months due to sitting at home after my back surgery. I am still pretty new at this. Internet does help, but somethings are harder than others to find answers to.

Anyways. I was going though my nickel roll hunt and this gorgeous coin pops up. 1956 P nickel. Great view of 5 full steps so it seems. I am debating if this coin is worth having sent to be graded. if it is, to whom should I sent it to?

Thanks

I agree with Paul on this one, too many marks on the face.

Maybe and you can check PCGS price guide and see it would not be worth sending.

oh I agree. I'll just put it in my 38-61 Jefferson Nickel Album instead.

Maybe more important is the 5 or 6 steps on the back. Check out the steps. Perfect steps are the most important for collectors.

Grade is more important since FS can be on an MS60 and have a low value so you want MS66 and higher with FS on most Jefferson years.
