Is this 1917 Penny considered a double dye?

Is this 1917 Penny considered a double dye?

Thank you for your program on 1909- on up! I am quite new to coin collecting and I found a 1917 Penny. Could you please let me know if it is a double dye or special in some way?

This isn't a doubled die but damage to the coin. Welcome to the community!

Thank you for your help!
My husband and I are retired from our jobs and are full gospel ministers. For many years, I’ve randomly thrown change into a container. I’m not sure why but a few months ago I went through the coins and found some older coins and now I’m hooked:)!
