1. Post a front and back image of your coin with a specific question about what you’re seeing or asking about and one coin per topic.

1943 steel cent error help

#1 Unread post by Dudbug »

I have searched on an off for over a year now trying to see if in the year 1943 there was a error with a ghost 3. I haven't had any luck and I'm quite sure the coin I have would be considered to have ghost 3? I'm relatively new as a coin collector and any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

These are very common and are struck through grease filled die but too minor or add any value.

I would need to hugeeyes better images here to determine the die state here.
If I had to guess,... I would go with slight die plugging... :dunno

When you say better pictures, do you mean for me to take some with a different angle of light hitting the coin? I was using my phone and a magnifying glass to take these.. lol
Thank you for your response

No biggie, your full coin images were enough to attribute this type of anomaly.
