1. Post a front and back image of your coin with a specific question about what you’re seeing or asking about and one coin per topic.
2. Please remove coin from the holder unless it’s US or an official mint case or unless it is graded by a grading service.
3. Images should be taken by a camera or cell phone camera, we ask that members don’t use images through a microscope screen.
4. Always start your own topic, please don’t ask about your coin or post your coin in someone else’s coin topic.
5. Do not send private messages about your coin unless an Admin ask you too and the same for sending emails through the board.
6. No spam. Do not post any links to your coin or other non-coin websites.
7. Always be respectful even if something makes you upset or you don’t agree with a member. You can always get a second opinion elsewhere. If you have an issue then politely ask an admin in an PM. PM’s are for issues, technical and personal, but not for coin questions (refer to number 5 on this list). You Found A Possible Rare Coin. Now What?
If you think you found a rare coin you can obviously post images and questions here. However what if you don't agree with us or you want to look it up yourself and learn more? I created a video to help you with that.

It is normal. Watch this video on that subject https://youtu.be/dqtqq_QeMYk
Coins before 1980 without a mint mark are normal because the Philadelphia Mint didn't put mint marks on coins until 1980 and 1979 on the Susan Anthony Dollar only.

During my recent nickle search, I found this nickle. I took a photo of the nickle to send to my sister, this is when I could read the date for the first time. Even with the coin in my hand, I'm unable to read the date. This nickle is a 1974 D. I would like to hear some opinions.

Your question on "Full Bands" is a very good one.
This can be a very touchy subject for most experienced collectors. I have personally seen "FB" on many of a TPG's "Slab Label", when in fact, they weren't even close... Which means that you need to personally inspect all "FULL" whatever designation.

Here's an image of what I call "FULL BANDS" on a Mercury dime.

Thanks so much for the picture! That explains a lot and I am only looking with the naked eye. I probably should get a magnifier to double check. Thanks again!

You DO NOT need to purchase a "USB Scope" for ANY die attributions.
:eureka:
A decent 10x "Jewelers Loop", with sufficient lighting should be good enough to do the job.
