2011 Roosevelt dime error

#1 Unread post by Stevesdime »

I have a 2011 Roosevelt dime without a reed. (Edges are like a nickel, and slightly thicker that other dimes) Can't find anything about it. One of a kind?? Help!

The coin was intentionally damaged. It is either spooned, milled, or a dryer coin.

Why is it the same size as other dimes, just thicker around the edges?

Nope, not one of a kind and not an error I hate to say. I see these posted in this forum and my Facebook groups on a regular basis. It's post mint damage and the rim has been damaged by a tool or by spooning.
