there is a dot between the " s of states and o of of on the reverse " any idea what it could be--its raised and coin weighs 2.5 grams--thanks

Looks like a Rockwell hardness test on the die that struck this coin.

i have personally come across a VERY FEW "dot coins" in my years .....

..... i had a fellow CONECA member contact me some time ago, he was putting together a book on these.
i have not heard anything yet.

It's possible but it is perfectly round with a flat top, blisters usually have round tops.
