A few years back I had a teller friend at my local bank. She called me up with several older rolls that she came across. I purchased all of them for face value. I picked up 2 rolls of random wheats and Indians along with 2 mint rolls of 1955 Lincoln cents, 1 mint roll of 1955s Lincoln cents, 1 mint roll of 1958d Lincoln cents, 1 mint roll of 1939 Jefferson nickels, 1 mint roll of 1958d Jefferson nickels, 2 rolls of random silver dimes, and 1 mint roll of 1958d Franklin half dollars. All of the 1955 cents are blazing red and I did cherry pick 5 1955s/s/s cents. The 1958d Franklins are all ms and blast white. She called me and said she had some rolls that were odd looking in old brown paper and my heart skipped a beat. I grabbed everything she had all for face and begged her to look around other windows to see if there were any more but no such luck. Needless to say that it was a good stash that I acquired. I remain in contact and she still saves things for me. The occasional silver quarter or half and every so often a silver certificate or us note but nothing as nice as the rolls.
