#1 Unread post by GonzoOznog »

Hello all I'm Daniel and very new to coin collecting and this forum. I tried researching this coin and could not find another with the same overdate error. The coin is basically in the condition i found it in and i could really use any info relating to this particular coin and it's possible value. It took me over an hour just to find out what this particular error was referred to so im still learning the terms and key elements in identifying rare and or valuable coins. PLEASE HELP!!!

I see zinc rot creating a dimpled bubble over the five. Not a nine over five.

OVD's & RPM's can get VERY tricky .....
EDS's are fairly easy to see/pick/ID, but as the die fatigues, the 'prominence' of the original underlying date/mm can weaken significantly,....so much so, that even some examples in EMDS can be hard to ID properly......

:eureka:
that's why it's best to ask us here first,....&, ... is EXACTLY why we do this (to help the less experienced)
