Misc. WWII period Japanese banknotes please please help!!!!!
A group from a collection from my great grandfather. With all the Japanese print, I have no hope whatsoever in decoding what these notes are. No one in my family is any help. I'm very interested in this collection and this is one of my biggest ???????'s. Any help will be greatly appreciated!

Let's start with the notes that say "The Japanese Government"...
During WWII, the Japanese occupied the Phillipines. During that time, they issued paper currency, which everyone new was worthless. So badly accepted that when the Americans retook the Phillipines they found the streets buried in paper currency. It was completely worthless.
In mint state, you can get between $2-$10 for a note depending on how early it was made as indicated by its series.

The other notes look Chinese-English, which means they probably came from Hong Kong or Singapore. I'll look a bit further, but these are war momentos.

Notes in this condition typically sell for around a $1 or $2 each unless they're crisp and uncirculated.
