Hi, I just purchase a lot of 6 coins from a vintage store(second-hand). In these coins I found a 1921 peace dollar, very worn, but it's a peace dollar.
I flipped it over to find that the reverse is vertical....I've searched online to find some sort of commonality but have found nothing.....the coin is very worn, should I chalk it up as cool, or have it looked at by an expert? Please advise
I've added these images....the yellow tape indicates top

Re: 1921 Peace Dollar
Congratulations on the coins. The coin isn't magnetic, is it?
A better way to have done this would have been to fold the tape over the edge of the coin, not tape the coin to the cloth. Or hold the coin up to a mirror so that both sides are visible when you take a picture. That way we can help you out and see where the obverse is in relation to the back.

Re: 1921 Peace Dollar
This is a counterfeit coin so it is a fake and not real, even the fakes are being made to mint specifications with 90% silver so they wont stick to a magnet. I am sorry about the bad news.

Okay, you just know? Well thank you. I won't even ask, that's why I asked you in the first place. I'm new at this, so please don't laugh to hard....have a good day

Re: 1921 Peace Dollar
The date font is incorrect for a Peace Dollar and this example if not struck high relief. All 1921 Peace Dollars are high relief coins and this one isn't struck properly.
No is laughing here, counterfeits are not funny and upset me; it is one reason I started this forum and website.
Here's an example of an authentic 1921 Peace Dollar for comparison.
