Embossed French Coin Images?

#1 Unread post by WarrenT »

Hi...I am a newbie from Idaho and I have acquired an antique wine corker that I am restoring and am trying to find out it's history and vintage. The corker is from Bordeaux, France and on the side of the mechanism there are some embossed images cast into the metal. They look like coins but so far I haven't been able to confirm that, or if they are, from what vintage. Any help would be appreciated....thanks!! :dunno

Not real coins just cast coins for decor, nice cork press though.
