MISMATCHED SERIAL# STAR NOTE
WHAT WOULD YOU THINK A ...2 NUMBER MISMATCHED STAR NOTE...1988A 1$..GRADED PMG58..WOULD BE WORTH......THANK YOU

You got me on this one. Don't know much about mismatched number values combined with a star. If the seller isn't asking a fortune and not over-hyping how rare it is then he's probably asking a fair market value for it.

I do not think they are that common. But don't overpay, if it was super rare it would be in a stacks type auction.

man, i have a ton of $1 & $5 silver certificates and $2 & $5 red seal notes and over half of all of them are star notes,even have some in 10 to 20 consecutive serial #'s ,all range from VF-mint/crisp,was just wondering what you mean by the 2 numbered thing?
