Hi everyone Im Michelle from Illinois I have a Massachutes Quarter the Heads is silver and Tails is gold has anyone else heard of such?

This is toning, the one side was stored or on something that caused it to tone but the other side was protected.

May I ask how you can tell I didn't know it's why I asked I just found it in my change and know they had gold coins that year

There where no gold coins this year so not sure where you learned this but this is a business strike coin and is clad and not silver. So it is nickel and copper and this coin has a copper core, you can look on the edge and see it.

I am a full time coin dealer and founder of this website. I have examined many error coins and damaged coins and plated coins. The US mint didn't created plated gold or silver coins nor bi-metal coins. I also know what toned coins look like and that they usually toned on one side.
