1942D linclon penny

#1 Unread post by lindalee86442 »

Hello, I have found a 1942D Lincoln Cent that has a mint error. Partial ( In God We Trust ) Printed Backwards on the front edge of the coin. What should I do?

I agree with Palh1.
It is happening on many areas of the coin.
A mirrored LIBERTY (which is upside down in relation to the motto you mention) is through Lincolns head and there also appears to be an RT on his shoulder as well. These clues indicate this happening multiple times to this coin.
Thanks for posting.

Another coin was used, post mint, to create this so I agree with the others that it is damage.
