Above ground silver is more rare than gold

Here's a great article that I chose from several about the availability of silver versus gold on the surface of this planet. As a precious metal gold is still almost 18% rarer than silver, but silver is rarer than gold when it comes to what's already mined.

Also, supply has not kept up with demand for over 15 years now, so when is silver going to catch up? What's going to be the straw that breaks the proverbial camel's back?
