Jefferson "war" nickels - how rare?

#1 Unread post by RobinMitchell »

I have about 220 of these, and I saw in one of the posts on FB that finding a whole role is "VERY RARE". I didn't think I really had anything here. ??

Attached is a pic of one of the 1943Ps from a folder. No varieties, but it has a big crack across the obverse. Cracked planchet? Worth anything?

I agree with Paul, it's a lamination and very common on war nickels.

Thanks guys! I guess I have a really hard time telling the difference between lamination and a cracked planchet. Thought I had this one. Thanks for straightening me out! whistling2:
