Gold Gilded Silver Britannias/coins

#1 Unread post by shoeshine »

Good day! I have recently built up a collection of the Britannia 2lb Silver Coin that are gold gilded. Sellers who post these coins sometimes describe them as "rare, less than 5000". I have enough information about mintages of Britannias, but I cannot find the circulation number of the gold gilded ones. Have you seen these numbers anywhere or do you know what third party company does the gilding? There are several other coins that receive this treatment, but I only collect the gold gilded Britannias.
Any guidance would be appreciated.

I wish I could help you with this but I do not know much about the gold gilded coins.
