Is it easy to get a coin graded and how do I do it? I really thought the coin dealer I took this coin to would have told me how even offer to pay him for his help. All he wanted to do is tell me that I paid too much and getting it graded would be a waste of money. But, while i was in the store I shopped through his inventory and noticed he had most of the seated liberty quarters except three dates and the one I had. He then mentioned that if I were to see anything I wanted to buy he would take my coin in consideration. But only up to 60 dollars. I paid 80. I almost feel like I failed before I even started enjoying collecting.

You didn't fail on this coin at $80. The coin has a book value of around $140 in Very Fine or VF30, and that's what it should grade. It's not worth sending in to PCGS or NGC unless you just want it slabbed, graded and authenticated for the collector's reason. It's a nice coin and I see why the dealer tried to get it from you, but remember, some dealers don't try to help but try to make money from you and they will prey on people who don't know much about coins. I would never go back to that dealer.

Anyway, don't get discourage, you did good on this coin son don't worry about that. Hey, and welcome to the forum! I hope you continue collecting and posting your questions and coins here!
