Hello, my name is Martijn.
This pandemic enabled a lot of "free time" which led me to look at coins in a completely different way.
Especially after the microscope came in and the details all the varieties show is simply amazing to watch.
I'm currently planning on using some of my 2020 pennies and see what damages occur when "cleaning" in different methods as I've seen in so many YouTube videos even though I know you should never clean them.
That would be a great reference point when looking at the coins I do value personally, to see what has actually happened to them in their lifespan.
Thank you all for having an open community that is not too harsh on the new enthusiasts, as it must take quite a bit of your time and resources to share all these years worth of study and developing your websites.
As a final note, I would like to share my favorite coin. I don't know if it's artificially toned or not, but to me it's magnificent to look at every time.
Hello everyone, new coin enthousiast

1. Post a front and back image of your coin with a specific question about what you’re seeing or asking about and one coin per topic.
2. Please remove coin from the holder unless it’s US or an official mint case or unless it is graded by a grading service.
3. Images should be taken by a camera or cell phone camera, we ask that members don’t use images through a microscope screen.
4. Always start your own topic, please don’t ask about your coin or post your coin in someone else’s coin topic.
5. Do not send private messages about your coin unless an Admin ask you too and the same for sending emails through the board.
6. No spam. Do not post any links to your coin or other non-coin websites.
7. Always be respectful even if something makes you upset or you don’t agree with a member. You can always get a second opinion elsewhere. If you have an issue then politely ask an admin in an PM. Welcome to the community!
The Morgan looks artificially toned but as long as you know that's a possibility and enjoy it that is what matters.

Re: Hello everyone, new coin enthousiast
Thank you very much.
When looking through the Jhon E. Cash website that was shared in the CoinHelpU YouTube videos, I had my suspicions that the coin might be artificially toned as he mentioned:
"Popular colors on Artificially and Intentionally toned coins are:
Excessive Blue/Magenta/Purple/Burnt Orange hues in billowing shades that do not gradient evenly."
It's only when looking at sales through Heritage Auctions, greatcollections, etc that doubts of the toning being real popped up because some looked eerily similar in coloring.
The coin will remain my Morgan Dollar study coin as it has much more detail on it than the pictures let on. Some of the other Morgans (there's a 1880 error coin that has an immensely weak strike on the D in DOLLAR) I might eventually trade in for another coin, and increase my documentation on the different coins and designs. It's all quite fascinating.
