1. Post a front and back image of your coin with a specific question about what you’re seeing or asking about and one coin per topic.

2. Please remove coin from the holder unless it’s US or an official mint case or unless it is graded by a grading service.

3. Images should be taken by a camera or cell phone camera, we ask that members don’t use images through a microscope screen.

4. Always start your own topic, please don’t ask about your coin or post your coin in someone else’s coin topic.

5. Do not send private messages about your coin unless an Admin ask you too and the same for sending emails through the board.

6. No spam. Do not post any links to your coin or other non-coin websites.

7. Always be respectful even if something makes you upset or you don’t agree with a member. You can always get a second opinion elsewhere. If you have an issue then politely ask an admin in an PM. I haven't been called new in a long time...

#1 Unread post by BMH »

... because I'm old and my kids remind me of this fact often. They're right but I won't ever tell them that. They don't understand why I collect coins in this plastic world so I guess I'll have them buried with me when it's my time to go since they have no interest in the hobby. Meanwhile I'll just hang out here and continue to learn more and collect my useless pieces of metal because it's a hobby that I enjoy. Currently I'm trying to complete 19th century British and Mexican type sets which most of you probably know is very difficult. I have a long way to go and will most likely never finish either one but I do have some nice examples with what I do have. I also collect U.S. coins of course. Mercury dimes have always been one of my favorites and my goal is to complete a set in XF-40 or better. I have only a few left to get to complete the set. Lincoln cents and seated coins are also collections I'm trying to finish. As you can probably tell I'll collect pretty much any type of coin. My prize of my collection is a PCGS graded 1854 $20 gold piece in AU-53. I also have a Mexican 50 Pesos from 1924 in VF-20 that is a very beautiful coin.

I've been following the YouTube channel for about a year and have almost caught up with watching them all. I finally decided to join here to see what this place was all about. It looks nice so I think I'll stay for a while.

Welcome! Children, sadly, are not taught history today like we were. Hence its harder for them to understand people collecting bits of history.

Glad you are here, and whether newbie or not, we all learn from one another :)
