1. Post a front and back image of your coin with a specific question about what you’re seeing or asking about and one coin per topic.

2. Please remove coin from the holder unless it’s US or an official mint case or unless it is graded by a grading service.

3. Images should be taken by a camera or cell phone camera, we ask that members don’t use images through a microscope screen.

5. Do not send private messages about your coin unless an Admin ask you too and the same for sending emails through the board.

6. No spam. Do not post any links to your coin or other non-coin websites.

Hi everyone my name is Lisa. I've been collecting coins since I was a kid I'm just now starting to go through and learn about them thanks for all the comments ,advice and replies....very helpful.. I'm sure this is a dumb question but as a beginner I have to ask... Why are the quarters valued so high? What's the story behind that..or where do I go to learn more

Circulated they're not worth that much, just a little premium of a dollar or two. No mint sets for 82 and 83 so people hoarded these and made them scarce in circulation. However, the mintage was high.

Using ebay sold searches and looking at price guides are important, much more than a Google search. https://ebay.to/2OAWVsR
