1982 No Mint Mark Small Date Copper Penny
Hi. We have just found a 1982 no mint mark small date copper penny weighing 3.09-g. We have read where these are quite rare, however most of the attention seems to be focused on the 1982-d small date as being more valuable. Our question is. Is this coin still valuable, and just as valuable as the 1982-d. We know grading always plays a big part in value, [appears to be at least an AU-58??], however we didn't want to have it graded if the value wasn't substantially higher then the grading cost. We are guessing that it is a Philadelphia coin, however several videos and websites we have visited state that all 3 mints at one time or another didn't use mint marks for a period of time. So is it possible that it could be a Denver coin, or either a San Francisco coin also? Thanks

No, this is not valuable or rare and the reason the focus is on the 1982 D Small date is none are supposed to be on 3.1 gram planchet, but two have been found so far. Watch my video on this it will explain it all https://youtu.be/8Hy7jzeCgpM
