1988D IN GOD WE TRoST. Motto ?

#1 Unread post by friverasantos » Fri May 31, 2019 12:54 pm

Hi everyone, I'm new to the forum and happy to be a member.

I came across this 1988D penny. I need your thought and advice is this penny is worth anything or even getting it grade. I can see metal flows and CUD(maybe), well look at pics. The penny has a good color appearance overall. I can't explain how the U could be a lower case o in 'TRoST" could be formed. The 2 leg of the U are visible but fating out.

:welcome:

This appears to be a "plating disturbance" inside of the 'U'.

Thanks guys. Is it worth a face value only? Or is a good coin to keep.
