Found this mercury dime on a hike it was discolored from sitting outside for who knows how long. Though it was a penny at first. I wiped it off, it looked like someone had took a hammer to it. Closer inspection whatever happened to it happened at the mint. It was struck at least three times on her face is a imprint of the reverse side, so when it was being struck, it must have flipped over and got hit by the reverse die. What do you think? Any idea of value? I know

Thanks for posting images but your initial thought on this coin was correct this didn't happen at the mint. Someone did hit this coin with something post mint, marks like this don't happen at the mint.

You will often find what is called incomplete clips but they the exact shape and size of the coin, these are not, and there wont be three like this.

Thanks for sticking with it and posting the images.
Yes, PMD.
I would say a tube or pipe hit the coin multiple times. You can even see the damage on the reverse to the letters. They were pushed and deformed against something hard when the front was assaulted.
Still an interesting piece of free silver.

I thank you for your thoughts on the coin. But it is folded and the strike meets up on the fold. There is also lettering on the edge. The mark on her face I just realized looks like the stretched out missing L for liberty. I am going to do more research. Thanks again

No such mint error as this and can't happen during the minting process. It would not look like this if what you said happened. All the research you need is at error-ref.com. if you don't believe the experts who know then you will remain befuddled and disappointed about your coin.

Someone could have easily used a leather punch end to create this. Damage on a coin ruins most of the value, even when it is a coin of value. Even if this was some incomplete clip it doesn't add value.

Here's what I was talking about, it could go a bit deeper but not in sliding or different shapes. https://coinauctionshelp.com/incomplete ... -planchet/
