1980 offset nickel

#1 Unread post by Edoginlodi »

I am very new to coin collecting. It is quite a joy. My first pocket change find was an 1859 Indian Head Penny...that is what got me started. I recently found a 1980 Nickel that is off center, where you can see that the top of G and other letters are printed on the rim of the coin. Is this an error and if it is, does it hold any value. Thanks to anyone that can help!

This is normal for coins that have lettering so close to the rim it is still within mint specifications and adds no premium.
