:welcome:

'color' can be "ALTERED" in many, many different ways, ... sometimes just by what it was stored next to.....

:eureka:
keep in mind, the 'philly mint', for these LC's uses NO "mint-mark" on their coins.

I agree with Paul and will add that you must live west of the Mississippi River. I hear people out there see mostly Denver minted coins.

Four mints currently for US coins:
P or no mint mark is Philadelphia (Regular circulation/business struck coins including Uncirculated Sets)
D is Denver (Regular circulation/business struck coins including Uncirculated Sets)
S is San Fransisco (Proof sets)
W is West Point (Specialty strikes- Gold, Palladium, etc)
Hope this helps.

we get tons of "NO MINT-MARK" questions here,.....

so,..... in the future,.....you can check out the 'on-line' TPG1 website 'price guides'......
they 'list' all the coins minted for each year, & show images of the coins.

I think it's easier to remember it this was for no mint marks.

Lincoln Cents: Only a P mint in 2017, doesn't have a P mint mark for any other year. In proof sets they ALL should have an S, so look for No S proofs in plastic sealed sets.

Proof sets before 1968 did not have mint marks on any of the coins.

All the rest of the current denominations have a P mint since 1980 so before 1980, with the exception of the 1979 Susan Anthony Dollar, they do NOT have a P mint mark.

1982 Roosevelt Dimes is the only modern business strike (not in a proof set) that is known without a P mint mark.

If I missed something then please offer a correction.
