error quarter ?

#1 Unread post by lyn » Sun Sep 17, 2017 11:40 am

hi, im new here, registered so as to ask my question.

location: VA

i have a quarter that appears to have strayed into

the dime production line and was slightly pierced

by the outer circumference cutting die. by overlaying a

dime, the size seems to match up, but i havent measured

precisely with calibers or whatever.

it is a 1976 bicentennial, in otherwise good condition.

w/ no mint location mark.

photo attached.

any comments or feedback appreciated,

thank you,

Those scars are created by the crimping tool on an automated coin roller.
