Sacagawea dollar

#1 Unread post by kelley.warren »

Hi my name is Kelley and I have a question about a 2000 P Sacagawea Dollar I have.

The back of my dollar has a mint error when you flip the coin over to look at the back its not straight up its a 25% turn to place the eagle straight up. I haven't heard of anyone having one of these. I inherited this coin I am not a collector but thought maybe I had a rare coin. Any input on this would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Kelley

It would need to be certified as a die rotation error before it will have much value, and then it is not rare enough to be worth a lot of money. Older types coins like a Morgan Dollar or Ike Dollar hold the value on these. I it grades MS then you're looking at a $100 coin and you will end up having about $75 in the coin with fees. You can send to ANACS cheaper but value could be less.
