My dad was a coin collector and he recently passed away. I'm the executor of his estate, and the court is requiring a inventory and purchase price of his collection. I'm trying to find out WHERE he bought most of his coins. I can't find any invoices, payments, etc.
so I'm attaching a photo of the stickers that are on the packages. Maybe someone will know from the stickers where they were purchased. Any help at all is greatly appreciated.

Re: Searching for Money Vendor
If you are talking about only a few coins, you can take them to most any coin dealer and get a "buy" price from them. They may even officially write it down for you as an appraisal assuming you will bring them for sale to them.
If you are talking about a lot of coins, you will likely have to have them officially appraised. The problem with this is that most appraisers give you the "sell" price in an appraisal, but when you go to sell them, you will only get the "buy" price, which can be significantly lower.
So, when the court is asking for a "purchase" price, this can be a bit frustrating as they are likely trying to determine taxes owed based on net worth. Based on the stickers, these are relatively new coins and will not have appreciated much, if any. You want an appraisal with "buy" prices so you don't have to lose money twice on the same items.
