1964 Uncirculated Denver Mint Set

#1 Unread post by aintgotaclue »

All - please forgive me for possibly posting a question which may have an obvious answer to some, but as you can see via my username, I know little to nothing about coins.

A family member gave me a rectangular, thin, blue-cardboard packaged set of 5 coins (half-dollar, quarter, dime, nickel, penny), all of which are dated 1964. There is label on the front of the package that states "UNC. 1964 DENVER MINT SET". I read somewhere a little bit about a rare 1964 Special Mint Set, and am hoping you can help me determine what I might have?

Attaching a couple of images of the set, although I realize you may not be able to determine much from them.

Thanks in advance for any help.

These were originally sold in cellophane packages. Many were moved to third party products to display or store them better. These appear to be in one of those type of holders.

Ungraded, these are selling on eBay for about $50 for the set in their original packaging, and about $25 in "other" packaging.
