Mint error?

I recently dug this Lincoln cent while metal detecting. This is a 1971 D penny. It appears to me that a part of the "Memorial" is stamped over Lincolns' head/face. What do you think?? Any thoughts, ideas, suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

I took your "photo" and cropped it down to just the penny.
What I see are the posts from the memorial crossing Lincoln's profile. Of course, a better photo would get a better diagnosis.

It could be a die clash but in dug condition.
