reccent oddball finds.

Here are a few odd finds on the most recent search. These are jsut pics of the area. I figured the coin date and the rest of the coin really doesn't matter.

Pic 1 is a funny G on th FG
Pic two and three gouges on the IN. There is nothing else like this stuff on any of the other letters.
Pic four and five Are these what is called trails?

I am not sure about the die trails but it looks something like it. Interesting G as well.

Machine doubling on the G? It is strange to say the least.

Maybe, but just the G? I am thinking a contact mark on second look. Of course, it could be some form of machine doubling.

No comments about the three grooves or gouges on the IN? - that seems to be the most interesting to me as I've never seen anything quite like that. Of course I'm not any kind of expert at grading coins or mint errors.

I think it's die deterioration of some kind.

They probably used the same dies for about a million coins I think!
